Alum Block For Minor Cuts & Bleeding

Description

Alum is used to soothe shaving irritation and stop nicks and cuts from bleeding. A single block lasts for months and should be part of every wet-shavers kit. The block can be used on minor cuts from shaving, to help stop bleeding. Can also be used as an astringent for those with normal to oily skin.

Alum blocks make for popular shaving products because they prevent bacterial growth and reduce inflammation. This may help reduce the risk of a shaving rash or infection.

Alum is a group of hydrated double salts, and is non- toxic as the aluminium content is approximately 10%. At this level it is of little or no concern if used sparingly and infrequently. Alum is soluble and dissolves quickly in hot water.
